What is the most important thing that you have you learnt in Humanities in the past month?

Everything that I have learnt in the past month (when put together) has been important. For example
the three major theories on Australian Settlement, the key players…
What did you do to help yourself learn?

I did extra research, using the internet and other resources and coming up with questions that aided me
in whatever task I was doing
.

What did you do that made it difficult for you to learn well?
The thing I do that makes it difficult for me to learn is getting distracted. (Especially when I begin to
read a novel, I just can’t drop it until I finish it, which then normally means I leave my homework to the
last minute or undone.)

Who did you work with? Were these effective (good) working relationships?
The person I last worked with was Helen. It was an effective working relationship
because we could put our differences aside and work co-operatively and efficiently.

How is your progress towards meeting your goals for the semester?
I am a tiny bit more organized, though I still have a long way still to go. So far I have handed in most
homework on time, and I hope it continues through to the end of this semester and year as well.

During the past few weeks:
I have learnt about the settlement of Australia by the British and the reason they settled in Australia.
And also about the reasons other countries who arrived in Australia before the British did not set up
a settlement.
I most enjoyed the Humanities class on locating key locations linked with European Settlement in the
world and the European Settlement Booklet.
My attitude has been good, although I can have a better attitude towards my work.
My behaviour has also been very good, but it can get better.
My interim report in the subject wilI indicate that I am up to date in all my work and that my work shows
a great amount of thought and effort put into it.
The hardest task I have had to complete is coming up with a theory on why Australia was not settled by
other Europeans.
My workbook is up to date, but I think it can be neater than it is.
My greatest strength is been able to to understand statements and theories and analyse them thoughtfully.
The two areas of my learning that I want to focus on improving are:
1. Essay writing
2. and my workbook being neat and up to date.
I am happy with the fact I am up to date at the moment.

What is the most important thing(s) that you have learnt in Me & My World this semester? Justify with reasons.

Everything I have learnt this semester has been important, I can apply any of the things I have learnt in the not so
distant fututre.
If you were the teacher of this class, what is one immediate change you would make which would be an improvement?
If I were to be the teacher of this class the first immediate change I would make which would be an improvement would be to enforce rules on the expected behaviour, attitude, work ethic of all students and make sure it is followed.
How do you measure personal success?
I would measure personal success when a set target/goal is achieved and a sense of achievement and satisfation is felt whenone hands in work or acheives their goal.
Have you been successful in Me & My World this Semester? How do you know this or how do you make this judgement?
It is too early yet to state my acheivement, I feel as if we/I have done nothing in the class this past five weeks.

How much time in this class is profitable (used for learning)? Explain:
Sometimes alot of the time we spend in class is profitable and sometimes it isn't. Your either not here or other class members are
disruptive and make it dificult to learn and you to teach.

What is one word you would use to describe your class?
Difficult!

What are your goals for Semester 2?
My goals for semester 2 is to be more attentive in class, hand in work on time and put more effort in my work. My most important goal though is
to get organise and learn how to prioritize.

For each of your goals, review your progress and rate yourself on how well you have achieved each goal (out of "5 stars") explaining the reasons for each rating.
*Be more attentive in class - i would rate my selve 3/5. I am attentive but i could definitely pay more attention.
*Hand in work on time - i rate myself 4/5. we have not had to submit much work but the tasks I was to do I finished on time. Most of them anyways.
*Put more effort in my work - so far my rating would be 3.5/5. I have put a lot of effort in some tasks and not put a lot of effort in class.

How prepared do you feel you are to undertake a VCE subject next year?
I do not feel as prepared as I would like to feel. I need to get organize and be able to prioritize before i can feel prepared for VCE next year.

a. Are you on-track to achieving your Semester 2 goals in this subject?
Yes and no. I have made little progres in acheiving my goals this semester but I hoping that during the two weeks holiday I can
prioritize and get myself organised.

b. What do you believe have been the three most important things you have learnt during Term 3?
All that we have learnt as been important this semester even if we (I) might not use it in the forseeable future.

c. Select a lesson during this term which you thought was the best and explain why you believe it was the best.
The sesion were we had the game where we had to trade things and see who would have the things with the most value. We were learning, playing a game and having lots and lots and lots of fun at the same time.

d. Are you happy with the Homework habits you have developed and will they greatly assist you next year? Explain
No I definately do not have a good Homework habit, and for the remainder of year i am hoping that I can develop a good habit.

e. In what ways do you always "do your best" in this subject?
By making sure all the work i have handed in is of good quality. Well thought out, presentable and high standards...

f. Do you have "high expectations" in this subject? Explain or justify your answer
I try to have high expectations. I try to be attentive and absorb all the things being said. I also try to use class time effectively.

g. What extra help do you need from your teacher to help you learn and to improve your skills?
The extra help i need from my teacher to help me learn and improve my skills, is explaining in detail what he wants to be done. And
what he expects us to do it and when. Then i know exactly what is expected and how long i will need to spend on the task.

h. Are you happy with your progress and achievement in this subject?
No, i think i can achieve more than i am now, if i put in a little bit more effort.
i. How many times have you been recognised on the "Hall of Fame" wiki page and how do you feel about this?
A few times, and i guess i feel proud that my work is being acknowleged.
j. My teacher always ....... (complete this statement by writing a brief paragraph)
